PERTON WALKERS

2009

Perton Walkers is ten years old this year

Ten years ago on the evening of Monday, April 26 1999 that fateful meeting took place which resulted in the formation of what is now know parish wide as PERTON WALKERS.

Intended by the founder as a conventional rambling club with members paying an annual fee to enjoy a monthly ramble, the “club” never attained that idyllic state of affairs. The current organiser took over in late 2001 and devised the current format.  Perton Walkers offer one ramble a month on the dates in the table below mostly starting from a pub car park commencing at 11am.

There are no fees, no fuss, no rules and no regulations, just a rather good walk lasting from one to two hours (or more) with the option to enjoy Sunday lunch in a traditional British Pub afterwards; just turn up and enjoy!

Full details of each months walk are provided to those on the contact list by email, royal mail and (for Perton Residents) a “flyer” through the letterbox. To be on the contact list or, if you require further information, please contact Fred O'Leary by phone (on 01902 758140) or by email - fredoleary@hotmail.co.uk

.Walks take place on the second or third Sunday of each month

.

Details of each walk are available approximately two weeks before the date of the walk.
