Have walked all of these paths before
But not necessarily in the right order!
“Perton
Walkers” did their first walk in May 1999 and, apart from the year of foot and
mouth, have suffered one walk a month (usually on the morning of the third
Sunday- June always the second Sunday) followed by a pub lunch washed down with
fine wine and/or real ale. Most walks start from a pub car park at 11 am and,
although we will use the same pub oft times, never repeat a walk unless made
quite clear in the
Walk Information Leaflet.
Perton
Walkers do it in walking boots and offer anything from a stroll in the park to
a two-hour mud fest through the peak bogs of The Pennine Way- if The Pennine
Way could be reached from Perton in 45 minutes! (Regular Perton Walkers will
freely admit the usual guide knows all the muddy bits within travelling
distance of Perton- hence the reference to walking boots and if you were
thinking of anything else, shame on you).
The Walk Information Leaflet issued for each walk provides just enough
information to tempt the stouthearted and boot footed and is available a week
or so before the dates shown below.
